Twenty-five chapters
Five storybook Acts, a trail of paw prints that inks in as you go, and something new in the scene at the end of every chapter.
Cozy cat kakuro.
Catkuro is kakuro, the number crossword, turned into a journey. Fill each run so it adds up to its clue and never repeat a digit. That is the whole rule. Start with four feline friends, bring five more home through Act 1, then fill their home with cozy places and favorite things.
Free to play. One optional purchase permanently removes banners and interstitial ads. Optional rewarded help remains available whenever you ask for it. Never a subscription.
How to play
You do not need to know kakuro to start. The story teaches it, one small board at a time, and the first one is four cats and a handful of squares.
Every run of white squares has a number at its head. The digits you write must add up to exactly that.
One to nine, each at most once per run. A run of two adding to seventeen can only be eight and nine.
Each square belongs to two runs at once. Where the two agree on a single digit, you have your answer.
Seventeen across can only be 8 and 9. Sixteen down can only be 7 and 9. So the square they share has to be the 9, and the rest of the corner falls out from there: 9 + 8 = 17, 7 + 5 = 12, 9 + 7 = 16, 8 + 5 = 13.

What you get
Five storybook Acts, a trail of paw prints that inks in as you go, and something new in the scene at the end of every chapter.
Nine cats with names, colors, and personalities, right there on the keypad. Start with four, and bring five more home through Act 1.
Your first board is a handful of squares and four digits. By the last chapter you are solving grids that would have looked impossible on day one.
Finish the story and all four Free Play tiers open at once, from Kitten Steps to Purrfect Puzzlers.
Once Free Play opens, a puzzle a day lands with it: the same one for everyone on the same date, with no account and no connection needed.
Pencilmarks in five colors for chasing more than one idea at once, a combination row that shows every way the current clue can be made, and unlimited undo so nothing you try is ever expensive.
While a puzzle is open, the screen is yours. No banner, no pop-up, no watch this to continue. Optional rewarded help is always your choice: reveal the selected cell or fill the grid with pencil marks. Deduction hints remain free. You never have to ask.
Ads appear between puzzles and on the menus, and that is what keeps everything free. One optional purchase permanently removes banners and interstitial ads. Optional rewarded help remains available whenever you ask for it.
